Who's Grooming your dog? This was the question asked in an article in the Birmingham News on September 11, 2008. The article seems centered on one operation/business without informing the public of other businesses in Birmingham. Pink Paw Pet Spa & Resort is one of the few businesses that not only has a Certifed Groomer (Shannon Moore) but we also dry all of our pets by hand, and we do not have any cage dryers in our facility. Shannon is attending the International Pet Groomer sponsored show in Hershey, Pa this weekend. These events gets groomers together to keep their skills sharp, but makes them aware of safety issues like the one mentioned in the article. The article is correct in stating that there are very few certifed groomers in Birmingham, and thats why our service may cost a little more than others, but what that brings is our commitment to treat your pets as precious as we treat our own! Also, check out the September Issue of "Birmingham Magazine", we were chosen as one of the best. We thank our loyal customers for your support, and although we are quite full in the mobile schedule, we offer the same professional grooming at our Resort on Fridays & Saturdays.
Shannon Moore is a Certified Master Groomer with the International Professional Groomers Association. She is a competition groomer, who has traveled the United States winning National, and International Tournaments. She takes great pride in her styling of all dogs to their correct breed standard, as well as creative, unique, easy to maintain styles for the everyday pet. Shannon specializes in toys and non-sporting breeds. She has raised and shown Yorkshire Terriers for over 14 years, and was one of the Top Breeders in the United States.
